INERT TREATMENT PLANT, CANTON OF LUCERNE (CH) 2016-2018

Inert material, water and sludge treatment

The plant is to prepare the inert materials in such a way that they can be used in concrete production.

In the peak case, an output of 65 tons / hour can be assumed.

MAIN PROCEDURAL STEPS
PRE-TREATMENT:

  • Feeding device incl. iron separation
  • Drum pre-screen with first spray wash incl. discharge device
  • Feeding device incl. scrubber
  • Setting machine – screening plant incl. discharge device
  • Desander Incl. attrition (attrition optional)
  • Spiral separator or up-current classifier separation of fine light materials from fine sand)
  • Drum fine screen in front of waste water basin
  • Water-sludge treatment (main circuit- chemical-physical stage separate)
  • Chemical-physical stage (optional)
  • Biological water treatment (only if required, optional)
  • Control of the entire plant

THE PLANT ELIMINATES O SEPARATES:

  • Highly volatile halogenated hydrocarbons, LHKW, CKW, – PCB (medium separability)
  • Saturated hydrocarbons – Mineral oil hydrocarbons MKW
  • Aromatic hydrocarbons – BTEX, highly volatile hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene etc. – Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons PAH
  • Cyanides can be treated in this soil washing plant as long as the soil does not contain too high a proportion of fine particles of organic matter (e.g. clay, peat)
  • Some heavy metals, chrome (VI) is precipitated or reduced to chrome (III)
  • Mercury
  • Herbicides, pesticides
  • Nitrogen treatment of the washing water Denitrification still optional
  • Others as required
